This book offers a radical new way of approaching the Old Testament. Sigmund Wagner-Tsukamoto argues that rational, institutional and constitutional economic lessons can be derived from the Old Testament, with applications to social conflict and resolution. The book suggests that this religious text also anticipated many modern economic advances.

Building mosques, Part 7 of 12

On Oct. 18, 2010, Wagner College hosted a panel discussion on the topic, "Mosque Building in the Community." Panelists were Jane Eisner, editor of the Jewish Daily Forward, Abe Greenwald, associate editor of Commentary magazine, and Haroon Moghul, Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University and executive director of the Maydan Institute. The panelists discussed the building of mosques in various local communities, with special reference to recent controversies about mosques proposed for Staten Island and near the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan. The discussion, part of Wagner College's "Faces of God" series, was made possible by the generous support of Dr. Ruth Qualben. This is part 7 of a 12-part playlist.
